New Parfum

Well it's actually an eau de toilette but regardless I'm so happy. Here's the story...

My mom asked me to make a wishlist for christmas and I couldn't think of one thing. I knew I had been looking for a signature scent to call my own so I asked her if I could go to Ulta to test some fragrances. I researched a couple and had some scents in mind when I went to Ulta in the morning. The first bottle I picked up was Burberry Brit's Eau de parfum and it instantly kinda caught me, but I passed it and walked to smell a few more. eventually I put the ever popular Donna Karen cashmere mist on my right wrist and Burberry Brit on my left then shopped around for about an hour. Both smelled really good initially but after an hour I smelled both again and cashmere mist had a bad reaction with my natural oils I suppose because it smelt terrible. It was simaler to baby powder and strong alchol (bleh). When I re-wiffed the Burberry it had dried down to a sexy warm ambery- vanillay-spiciness that I completely fell in love with. The 1.0 ounce bottle cost fifty bucks so I decided to put it off as a christmas gift and left the door smelling my wrist. While waiting for my mom I ventured into Ross to peer at their fragrances, low and behold their was one bottle of 1.0 ounce burberry brit eau de toilette for half the price which I snagged. A toilette is less concentrated than a perfume (more alchol, less perfume oil) So naturally it is cheaper but even finding it at that price is a steal. Now that I've given it around 5 hours it has dried down to its sweet base notes that make me want to cuddle around a nice fire. This will definitely be my scent for the winter months :)
